Investigating the Menu: Charlotte's Coffee House

Very few local coffee shops have been as successful as Charlotte's. They have three locations with one recently opening on Cedar Cross. They've been around since I was young and they've survived longer than others. I'm a fan of Charlotte's. I made the mistake of ordering their Chicken Bacon Pesto Panini and now I have to stop myself from pulling into their drive thru everytime I pass it. Unfortunately, this means that I'm not super well versed on their menu. That panini is just too good. I also want to visit their new location to see if it's as nice as the pictures. I haven't been to their original location in ages due to it being incredibly crowded when I last visited. I'm not good with crowded spaces so I usually stick to their drive thru. Investigating the Menu: La Venta Specialty Coffee

La Venta is the most welcoming coffee shop in Dubuque. Almost to a jarring degree. This Colombian specialty coffee shop is located right by Sweet Memories, the ice cream shop that I've only recently stopped calling " The Ice Cream Shop Filled with Plushies ". It's right by one of the first things I showed my transplant boyfriend, the 4th Street Elevator, so it's in a very prime location. Can't imagine what they pay in rent. Side note, but that area is so lovely. None of it ever feels touristy, maybe because my family always took me down there as a kid. My dad would always take us down to the irish store, Calico Bean, and Sweet Memories. I remember when Center of I Am was still down there, until they moved and then had to shut down.
